Deenside Wheelers is a cycling club that was formed in Castlecomer, North Kilkenny, and caters for cyclists in and around the surrounding areas. Deenside Wheelers is an affiliated member of Cycling Ireland the governing body of all cycling in Ireland. We cater for cyclist of all ages, for both males and females, incorporating all levels of cyclist.
Deenside Wheelers have over 100 members and new members are always welcome. The club provides regular spins on a weekly basis to fulfill the needs of each club member. Our main spins take place on Sunday mornings at 10 o’clock where we all travel as a group and we can promise all our members that no one will be left behind. We also run beginners spins on Wednesday evenings at 7pm from spring to autumn.
As Deenside Wheelers members of this club we will engage in cycling events organised by other clubs and we will also host our very own Castlecomer Challenge towards the end of the year. Deenside Wheelers club memebers also participate in the many Sportives and cycling events that are hosted around the country and we are proud of boasting a reputation of producing strong cyclists and hosting some of the finest cycling events in the country. It is onwards and upwards for Deenside Wheelers as we hope to encourage all our members both old and new to enjoy cycling while staying fit and healthy.
