Positioned on the rugged coastline of the famous Iveragh Peninsula and overlooking the stunning panoramic vista of Kenmare bay and the Beara Mountains, the Ring of Kerry Golf Club is a unique parkland course that epitomises the essence of golf in Ireland.

Founded in 1998 and designed by the renowned golfing architect Eddie Hackett, the course provides an idyllic landscaped setting offering a mix of undulating fairways, twisting brooks and large borrowing greens. This is golf as it was meant to be and offers a true test in every aspect of the game.

A fine example is the breathtaking 342yard, 6th Hole. Overlooked from a towering tee box, it is a sweeping bunker lined par-4 dog-leg, with a large lake to the right and out of bounds to the left. It is a must that your drive is hit accurately so as to overcome being obscured from the perilously narrow approach shot to the green – Holing for birdie could not be more satisfying! The 6th is an excellent challenge of golfing skill, although it is the overall quality of all 18 holes that combine to define a truly exceptional round of golf.

A visit to the Ring of Kerry golf club offers an experience more than just a game of golf. With the renowned Irish hospitality and local knowledge and passion for the game, you will be in good golfing company. The fabulous bar & restaurant facility is amongst the finest in the country, in where one can comfortably enjoy tales of success or simply relax and muse over the putts that slipped by.

With two airports located just either side of an hours drive away, travelling to this spectacular and tranquil corner of Ireland could not be easier. The beautiful heritage town of Kenmare, with its many famous restaurants, bars and accommodation, is a mere 10 minute drive away and serves as the perfect base for a golfing holiday.

Graced by its location, in surroundings of outstanding natural beauty, it is the clubs continued pursuit of excellence that ensures this gem of a course is a must visit for all golfers.
