Inishowen Athletics Club was founded in 2001 by a group of athletic enthusiasts from Carndonagh, Moville and Clonmany. During the first three years of operation, Inishowen AC catered solely for juvenile athletes. In 2004, senior athletes began to compete for the Club. Currently, the Club has over 200 registered members of all ages.
The Club competes in cross-country, track & field, road and indoor competitions locally and nationally. There are also senior members who compete in triathlon events. One of the most significant recent developments at the club has been the emergence of the Fit4Life group.
